We have exciting opportunities for experienced Band 6 nurses to join the team in Children and Young People's Mental Health Services in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. You'll play a vital role in providing high-quality care, supporting young people in need. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Conduct quick, accurate assessments to identify individual needs. 

  • Perform comprehensive Mental Health Assessments, including risk assessments. 

  • Effectively refer patients to other clinicians and services when necessary. 

  • Act as a gatekeeper according to established procedures. 

  • Provide leadership and support the team in the absence of the Team Manager. 

  • Deliver timely, intensive interventions for those experiencing mental health crises. 

  • Develop strong relationships and offer expert advice to other services and carers. 

  • Contribute to local and national strategies that improve service quality. 

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, nurturing their professional development. 

What You Bring: 

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing. 

  • Demonstrable experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a background in paediatric settings. 

  • Valid NMC registration. 

  • Up-to-date DBS check with the Update Service. 

  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom (visa sponsorship not available).
